SENIORS and their parents: Seniors must log into their Cady account to make the selection.
Seniors who do not choose which of the formals they would like to appear in the senior portrait section of the yearbook will find Cady will choose for them... and the Legend does not have access to all photos taken, just the ones selected by the senior.

SENIOR PICTURES: FREquently asked questions
Q: Do I have to take my picture with Cady studios?
A: The senior formal (the tux/drape) is the only photo that will appear in the senior portrait section of the yearbook. For consistency among portraits, with lighting, backdrop and prop clothing, yes, this formal portrait must be taken with Cady.
Q: When is the Legend yearbook's final deadline for senior ads?
A: ALL senior ads are due to the Legend yearbook by SEPTEMBER 30 of the school year.
Q: What is the "cap and gown"? The "senior casual"?
A: Both of these types of photos are optional for senior parents; parents often use the cap and gown image as part of their senior's graduation announcements in the spring, and Cady studios will send an email second semester to let parents know they are ready for view. The senior casual image is also optional and often parents will use them in their senior's ad and/or to have as a family keepsake.
Q: Are any of these photos required?
A: Nope. The senior can choose not to have any senior photos taken. This is entirely up to the senior and their parents. Not taking the senior formal image means, of course, they won't appear in the senior portrait section of the yearbook, though.
Q: Don't seniors have their pictures taken during the school year, anyway? Why do we have to book photos?
A: Senior year photos have become a sort of "tradition" to capture the milestone of graduating from high school. So senior year is the only year that they will not have their picture traditionally made during the school day as they have in grades K-11.
Q: I plan to hire a local photographer for my senior's pictures rather than use Cady Studios.
A: If you want your senior's formal image to appear in the yearbook, they'll need to sign up for a "yearbook only" photo with Cady in September of their senior year.

- Seniors reserve the right to choose their preferred items from the prop clothing (tux, drape, cap and gown) provided by the photography company to wear in their portrait. Dark head coverings (black, navy) are suggested for those seniors who wear them as part of their cultural identity. Solid colors will show up best.
- We will not print images with hand gestures of any kind.

You can schedule your appointment to have your senior pictures taken AT Cady Studios if you are not available on the above dates:

DEADLINE FOR SENIOR PHOTOGRAPHS: OCTOBER 1. Cady needs time to retouch the images, to print physical proofs, to mail them to you to make your selections, and for you to mail them back to Cady. Scheduling with Cady after October 1 means there's a high likihood Cady won't have your images ready by our October 30 deadline.
Your senior casual image needs to be VERTICAL and at least 300 dpi, otherwise, the publisher won't be able to print it.
Our book has several Jostens deadlines throughout the entire year; our deadlines are therefore non-negotiable.
